Emma is an accomplished conductor, serving as Associate Conductor at the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC), where she develops programming and conducts over 600 children each year ages 8-18 across YPC’s after-school and in-school choirs. In her more than 8 years at YPC, Emma has prepared choirs for recordings and performances at venues ranging from Lincoln Center to the United Nations to National Sawdust, as well as numerous acclaimed productions, including, most recently, Dead Man Walking (Metropolitan Opera, 2023), El Niño (Metropolitan Opera, 2024) and the Marriage of Figaro (Little Island, 2024).

Emma is the principal conductor for YPC’s Prelude Division (ages 7-11) and assistant conductor for YPC’s Chorale Division (ages 15-18). She has been a guest clinician for elementary, middle school, and high school choirs in Ulster County, New York and Princeton, New Jersey. In her work, she strives to build community through high level, shared artistic experience.
