Emma is an experienced teacher, holding a Masters in Music Education from the University of Hartford’s The Hartt School, with FAME and Kodály certification.

As a conductor with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, she works with children across a wide range of educational environments - from public schools, to community centers, to professional rehearsal rooms. In each of these environments, she approaches music education from the same angle — with an emphasis on building musical independence, inspiring community, and sparking joy.

Emma also works as a mentor to teachers at all stages of their careers through her work with YPC National and advising YPC’s Conducting Fellows. In Fall 2026, she will serve as a Lecturer at Princeton University, teaching THR 451: Rehearsal and Performance.
